Pink and Red Color Block
I saw these pants in HM and knew I had to have them!
As my body is transitioning from standard plus size I find myself comfortable enough to shop with straight size brands. Yes, I know that HM carries plus sizes but to be honest I’ve never felt like they gave enough attention to larger sizes and the selections looked like an afterthought. That’s actually one problem I have with many straight size brands that “cater” to plus, the plus selections are much less fashion forward, but we can have that discussion on another day.
Color blocking is a fashion term used to describe putting together contrasting colors. Since its February I went with light pink and red and I love how the combo turned out. Let’s get into these pants. Paper bag pants are still on trend right now and come in all variations. I typically go for high wasted pant styles so this was right up my alley. To show off the “paper bag” gathering detail this style is best worn with a fitted or tucked in top. I went with a light pink bodysuit and nude pumps. My style can be pretty minimalist so I didn’t add any major accessories as to let the pants speak for themselves.
